We present a home-style version of a beverage from a new cocktail list. It's a batch prepared mix that's packed full of tastes of a holiday season, rendering it excellent for your festive gathering. Save the extra cordial for breakfast cocktails, desserts, or for another batch of this cocktail.

Serves 10 people
To make the Clementine Cordial (yields 750ml)
300ml fresh clementine juice
200ml fresh lemon juice
500g granulated sugar
Ingredients for the Cocktail (produces 850ml, serving 10)
400ml good quality vodka
100ml London dry gin
150ml peach schnapps
200ml citrus syrup (from the recipe above)
A few cranberries, to garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch
Directions
Making the Cordial: Put the listed components into a pan, heat until it reaches a light boil, agitating so the sugar melts. Next, take off the heat allowing it to reach room temperature fully. Pour to a sealable bottle, cap it and store in the fridge, it will last for about four weeks.
Preparing the Batch Mix: Combine the specified spirits and syrup into one sizeable container, leave to sit for 60 minutes, then pass it through best through a fine cloth, making it perfectly clear.
For serving: Pour 85ml from the premix into your mixing glass containing ice, and stir lightly for about 60 seconds to chill. Pour into a cold coupe glass or equivalent, top with the cranberries adding the final touch using a light spray with the mandarin essence over the top.
