Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" the American as the two fighters met personally to build hype for next month's boxing match.
Ex twice world title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, at the same time, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning massive paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the customary stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is actually going ahead.
